Ryan Ringer

Look out for Ryan Ringer’s coffee truck downtown Peterborough this weekend. Ringer’s, “Let’s get together for coffee” will be happening as part of Artspace’s Artsweek programing, PUBLIC.

Bio;

“Ryan Ringer strives to discover unknown territories of individual and collective being. To this end, collaboratively and independently, he incites liminal experiences – psychological and metaphysical subjective states, conscious or unconscious, of being between disparate planes of existence – offering opportunities for one to find oneself by getting lost in the world. To embrace the strange and singular of one’s existence; to explore alchemical possibilities of the imagination; to live more intensely and freely in the here-and-now.

Characterized by playfulness, adventure, risk and radical subjectivity, his work radiates from the center of lived experience – the fluid spacetime of spontaneity, creativity and poetry often restricted to childhood – where one comes closest to oneself and temporarily escapes and becomes more conscious of the isolation of necessity. Ringer’s work provokes questions of identity, social life, urbanity and collectivity. His creative output to date comprises installations, sculpture, performances, writing, events, public interventions, expeditions, curations and hybridized forms.”
