Some love her, some hate her. Myself I am a fan of Miranda July and recently got her latest book, “It Chooses You.” Given my busy schedule it generally takes me quite a while to get through a book, but I devoured this one in just a few days. The subject matter is something I can relate to, procrastination and classifieds shopping. Ever wonder about the people and the stories behind those really odd ads in the classifieds? I do, and apparently so does Miranda. I’m not going to give any spoilers here or write a review but I’ll just say that I enjoyed seeing how she related the interaction with these strangers to her own personal development and how this little adventure in procrastination eventually inspires the bigger project. The book confirmed for me the advice that sometimes when you hit a creative wall you just need to step back, get out of your element, experience is the greatest provider of inspiration.
